URGENT: Write to Your MP

Parliament is currently debating the Representation of the People Bill 2026!

And we have the opportunity to see an amendment debated that would extend the right to vote to all residents!

The Government's Bill proposals to modernise our democracy by lowering the voting age to 16, expanding the list of acceptable photo IDs, and implementing some automated voter registration methods. These are good!

But! Do you see what is missing!?

That's right! Despite our many many asks, the Bill makes no provisions for extending the right to vote to the over 4 million residents without the right to vote.

But there is hope - John McDonnell MP tabled an amendment at the bill’s Report Stage calling for the right to vote to be extended to all residents!

When Scotland and Wales lowered the voting age to 16, they also used the opportunity to extend the franchise to all residents.

But that requires you to write to your MP and ask them to support an amendment to the Bill.

Please use this form to ask your MP to support votes for all NOW!
